We Believe…

The Bible:
To be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

Sovereignty of God:
In the one true God of the Bible.

Deity of Our Lord Jesus Christ:
In His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.

Blessed Hope:
Which is the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.

Man is a Sinner:
By nature and by practice.

Salvation:
That the only means of salvation is repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and that those thus saved are members of the true Church, the Body of Christ.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit:
As experienced on the Day of Pentecost when “they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues,” (Acts 2:4) is given to all believers who ask for it.

Gifts of the Spirit:
As listed in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, were, and still are, available to the Church for the edification of the Body of Christ.

Sanctification:
As the Divine process by which the Christian is changed “from glory to glory” into the image of the Son of God.

Resurrection:
Of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

Holy Communion:
As a divinely appointed medium through which the Christian remembers the death and suffering of his Savior, examines himself, asks for wholeness of body, soul, and spirit, and renews his covenant relationship.

Ordinance of Water Baptism:
By full immersion upon the evidence of confession and repentance and that such Baptism identifies the candidate with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Dedication:
Of infants and children, holding in faithful trust that the same shall follow the Ordinance of Christian Baptism after having been “Born Again”.

We believe that...

1. The sixty-six canonical books of the Bible as originally written were inspired of God, hence free from error. They constitute the only infallible guide in faith and practice. The careful translations into our English versions are sufficiently close to the original writings to be accepted as the Word of God.

2. There is one God, the Creator and Preserver of all things, infinite in being and perfection. He exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are of one substance and equal in power and glory.

3. Man, created in the image of God, through disobedience fell from his sinless state at the suggestion of Satan. This fall plunged man into a state of sin and spiritual death, and brought upon the entire race the sentence of eternal death. From this condition man can be saved only by the grace of God, through faith, on the basis of the work of Christ and by the agency of the Holy Spirit.

4. Jesus Christ is the Divine Son of God. Made incarnate without human father. He was born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died a vicarious death to effect the redemption of the human race. He arose from the dead, ascended on high and shall come again, personally and visibly, to complete His saving work and to consummate the eternal plan of God.

5. The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Triune God. He applies to man the work of Christ. By justification and adoption, man is given a right standing before God; by regeneration, sanctification and glorification man’s nature is renewed.

6. The believer, having turned to God in penitent faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, is accountable to God for living a life separated from sin and characterized by the fruit of the fruit of the Spirit. It is his responsibility to contribute by word and deed to the universal spread of the gospel.

7. The full gospel includes salvation for the soul, healing for the body and a personal baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the apostolic pattern which gives power to witness and to exercise spiritual gifts.

8. The sacred rite of water baptism by immersion for the penitent sinner and the regular observance of the Lord'’ supper for all Christians are necessary for obedience in faith.

9. At the end of the age the bodies of the dead shall be raised. The righteous shall enter into full possession of eternal bliss in the presence of God, and the wicked shall be condemned to eternal death.
